the SW Region if they would like to host this event. Rodney agreed to contact the SW Region Chair,
Mark Langley and see if they wanted to host and chair the event.
3)
Annette Rushing remarked that everyone must get access to a computer and
register for every event online. Rodney
said that with the new website and a new process for registration, everyone’s
computer should work with the system.
4)
Rodney read a message from Tom Street, the highlights of which are: There will be real pianos on every stage at
State CPA next year; only one judging area, therefore a total of only three
judges but also the possibility of this becoming a three-day event; and an
inquiry of maybe adding trophies for “Best of Class” designations.
Old business: 1)
Laura reported that she has contacted 10 people and still has no one to
direct the Jr. All-Region mixed chorus.
The music selections were due in March.
Rodney Ford agreed to direct the clinic and concert. Suggestions for the music selections were
discussed, as were possible accompanists.
2)
3) Annette’s choices for the Jr. High SSA pieces
were approved by the group.
4) Currently the SEArkCDA
has a balance of $10,873.68 as reported by Treasurer Denise Gray.
The following fees were set by a motion
made by Susan and seconded by Lucille Smith:
All-Region Audition
fee---$5.00; Clinic fee waived; Mileage
to be paid at .41.5 cents per mile; All-Region clinicians will be paid $300;
